It's been a while since a proper UNITE thread has been started, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to try and revive the wonderful tradition of unite threads on MacNN. Furthermore, how many people on MacNN like Michael Jackson? Do you think he's guilty? And if turns out to be guilty, would you still listen to his music?

Gee, no Jacko fans here? Guess we don't have any NAMBLA members at MacNN.

Musically, a couple of songs on Chiller were semi-decent IMO. But Michael singing "I'm bad" just made me laugh.

c'mon, Thriller, it's the best selling album in the world! his music is really quite excellent. none of us know if he's guilty or not, so why should we let that influence our enjoyment of his music?

I'm a Michael Jackson fan. I absolutely adore little Michael in the Jackson 5 -- he's probably my all-time favorite child star. I'll still be listening to Thriller, Bad, Off the Wall, and the others no matter what happens.

I don't presume to know whether he's guilty, but I know I'd never let any children spend the night at MJ's on G.P. alone.

Good music, the man has talent. As to whether he's guilty or innocent, how the hell should I know, I've never seen the man (outside music videos and edited interviews).

I happen to like his older music. The 90's songs, like Earth Song, or the extreemly popular songs like Bad or Thriller, didn't like those much. But, say Rock With You and Billie Jean, it's impossible to honestly deny his talent.

If he's innocent, keep him free and accept that people don't have to conform. If he's guilty, lock him in a cell with a synthesizer, instruments, and some recording equipment. If there's no way to tell, allow him to make grand contributions to children's chairities, and keep him quite far away from the actual children. Edit: it's also not "news" when he's got the flu, or if he wears something unusual, but it's probably my fault for punching in 500 for CNN and not 503 for BBC World News.

Yes, we do. At least I do. He is guilty as sin and I hope he goes away for a long, long time. Hell, even 2 days in jail will do some major "alteration" to him. Then again, he may enjoy it.

I like Jackson's music and no court decision will make me not listen to it. I mean, Billie Jean is one of the best songs ever.

That's fine but this isn't about his music - it's about him molesting children.

I still beleive in "innocent until proven guilty", however the media does not hold the same values, and have condemned the man before he has even had a chance.

I personally beleive he is innocent. He is a 7 year old boy trapped in a 45 year old mans body. But, in all reality, its not my place to make judgement, that is the job of the courts.

He has made some of the most amazing music of recent years, and I must say, no matter what the verdict, I won't be deleting his tracks from my iTunes playlists.

I hope he is found innocent. I really do.

I hope it's not another O.J. trial where the jurors ignore the evidence and acquit him because of who he is. If he's guilty I hope he is found guilty. If he's innocent, I hope he starts to act his age.

I love how every comment about the Simpson trial talks about the jurors. Perhaps the weak-willed judge and the bumbling prosecutors deserve some blame for the outcome. Seriously, that trial should've given birth to How Not to Run a Courtroom and How Not to Prosecute a High-Profile Murder Case.

Yeah, we don't hear much about Judge Ito or Marcia Clark in the news any more, do we?
And that glove incident? What a fiasco! I coulda gotten that glove on OJ's hand, bet on it. Letting him "try" to put it on himself was incredibly stupid.
