Hi, will it harm the battery to have the it chargin when full, or should i never run it of mains?

It won't harm the battery. It doesn't charge when it reaches 100%. The power gets diverted to the computer itself.

Haha, I'd have to say "yay" as well... I was worried about that . My current laptop (old IBM Thinkpad) was used by my aunt before I bought it... and basically she NEVER used the battery EVER, meaning that I have 10 minutes of battery life! yay! </sarcasm>

Battery preformance dies over time whether or not you use the battery. My iBook battery lasts maybe 10 minutes (iBook G3 500mhz) and while I did not use the battery all that often, I did use it.
