Since the video card wars, should I wait until we see a new card for the imac? I would really like to see if the imac would run vista. I would have to wait until vista is released and see if apple supports it, any ideas?
thanks

The MBP sports the same video card (ATI x1600) as the iMac, and people have run Vista on a MBP, so I don't see why not.

Vista will run with Aero Glass on a X300... X1600 will be fine.

If you're worried about running vista.. you don't have to wait. Look at the specs at the windows vista website and if the machine is within spec it should work. I also have heard of people running vista beta on their MBP and Mac Mini.

It's not a loaded question because there's only one answer: the only iMac that can run Windopws Vista natively is the iMac Core Duo. It will run it perfectly, most likely better than most PCs.
