Just installed this.

When I first open Word 2004 I get a hang and spinning beachball while it says "Optimizing Font preference Menu performance" Takes 10+ seconds to open at this point.

After the first start of the day this problem does not occur if I quit and restart Word. it only seems to occur after a system restart or first boot-up of the day.

Anybody else out there have this issue? Solutions?

I only got that the 1st time I launched Word...not after restarts/logouts or anything...

I had the optimizing font menu two times I think, but after a few subsequent reboots of the system, Word loads up quick each time.

Maybe you got a dodgy font. Try disabling all your non-apple fonts and try again.
