Hey, just curious, Ive got a powerbook g4, its in good condition, no dead pixels, some scratches but none on the screen just mostly on the outer shell, it has a 1ghz processor, 15" display (according to the system profiler), 512mb ram, and a 60gb hd, comes with the charger and a burnt backup of mac os x on it, powerbook works 100% and the battery holds a charge for 2.5 hours when doing internet browsing, any ideas as to how much I should sell it for in canadian prices? I was thinking somewhere like $600, but ive never sold mac's so if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it, oh ya, it comes with a linksys wireless router as well, thanks!

You are thinking correct, you have a good machine, but it is terribly outdated. Good Luck!

The best way to get the current market value is to search recently completed auctions on eBay looking for items as close to yours as possible.

I agree... Ebay is a great place to check your product's value.
Also consider the price of a brand new one, and where yours
would be priced in comparison.
I would like to think the
1.25GHZ - 1.33GHZ would be around $600 - $800
1.5GHZ - 1.67GHZ would be no greater than $1200 (15" models)
17" probably another $150 - $200
It becomes a little complex because people see no value
for the older models. Everyone wants brand new. However
if your just a journalist or college student (strapped for money).
older models can prove useful.
Hope I've helped...

I got $1200 for my PowerBook G4 1.67 (low def screen) with 1.5GB RAM and a 100GB HD. I also threw in a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 1.3. This was back in Nov.

I got $700 for a similar powerbook with twice the ram on Craigslist here in Seattle..could have gotten more, I think. Mine was a superdrive model, too.
