I am currently in the process of setting up my studio for video editing and such...

Will wait as long as I can to purchase the MacPro along with about 4gigs of ram.

Now the question remains is apple going to really update their monitors, and if they do
who's to say their prices will be within my budget (plan on staying under $1200)
The size I'm looking at is 24" and up.

If there's no update I'll have to go with the Dell 24" with the S-PVA which I hear
isn't the same quality as apples.

Should I wait or, buy yesterdays products at a lower price?

Buy the best you can when you need it. Nobody knows when Apple will update their products.
