I have a 2007 Macbook Pro (OSX Lion) that sits right by my desktop PC (Windows 7). Whenever I use my macbook pro for any internet heavy downloads (e.g. updating my iphone apps in itunes) it times out my desktop internet connection. I can't load any web pages whatsoever.

My macbook pro is connected via wifi, but my desktop PC is connected directly through the ethernet. I'm not exactly sure what this problem is. My other PC laptops connect to my router as well, and I do not experience this problem.

I was hoping if anyone could help me determine if this problem is Mac related or router related. I have a Belkin N450 router.

Thanks for all your help!

I'd bet on the router. Are the other laptops going wifi as well?
