Ok, eversince I installed 10.2.1 I've had this problem...Every once in a while, (well in fact every 20sec) there's a process "update" that gets 30-40 of my CPU (the kernel CPU usage also increases @ 20-30% levels)...This only happens when d/ling using HL, it lasts for about 5 sec and hogs the system down extremely...Any ideas on what's that thing and how to fix this? I've tried d/ling through http and ftp (as well as smtp and pop servers) and that doesn't happen...Please help.

I forgot to mention that when this thing kicks in (the boost of "update" CPU usage) the d/ls and u/ls get down to 0 bytes/sec (I'm using Netmonitor to verify this)...

it also happens with KDX d/ls...Seems like it's port specific...

You can do 'man update' in terminal and it will give you brief description of what updates does. Other then that, I can't help you. Also, I used to see the update in 10.1.5 as well so I don't think it is new.
