I managed to get my hands on a couple bottles of Templeton Rye today. This stuff is smooooth. People are going nuts for it around here, supplies are usually exhausted the same day they're delivered, I called seven different places yesterday to find out when deliveries were getting to the stores so I could get it before it was gone. The place I found it at went though seven cases in an hour. MSRP is $36, one place I called was selling it for $80/bottle.

It's a prohibition-era recipe that some guys got a hold of and started making. Within the last year or so they were finally allowed to sell it legally, but quantities have been very small so it's only available in Iowa for now.
