Trust it or not, it is still sometimes the only way you can get your money if you need cash after the bank is closed.

So if you win at solitaire, does the ATM double your withdrawal?

Not the first time someone's taken photos of an ATM booted into Windows. First pix I've ever seen of solitaire, though!

Hey, what ever happened to Windows Embedded
From this page:
Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded are both componentized operating systems, so you get to pick and choose the parts of the operating system that are appropriate for the device you are building.
.
.
.
When building the operating system image you get to pick and choose which hardware and software components are needed in your platform. If you don't need Windows Media Player, DCOM, RPC, Microsoft Internet Explorer, then don't put them in your image.
So tell me, why exactly do we need Solitaire on a freakin' ATM?? (Funny pictures aside).

Uhm, if my mom had to delete all apps from her PC except ONE, it would be Solitaire. It's crucial. Don't you know ?
So why not have that life-saving app on every street corner.

If there's only one thing I miss about Win98, it's "Hearts".

The more scary thing about this is. If it can be running 'unauthorised' apps like notepad and Solitaire, then with a bit of knowledge and 'poking around' you could probably find out all sorts of security info about the network the ATM is connected to. Then use that info to access the banks network with a Win PC masquerading as an ATM.

Assuming, of course, that's a real ATM in the photo ...

I have no reason to assume it's a fake.

Yes, because we all know everything on the internet is true until proven fake. All someone has to do is put a monitor behind a plastic case they designed and post it on the web so they can be like OMGZ, I R TEH 1337 H4X0R~!!11!!11onetwothree!!!!1!

Well I know of a case before where those non-bank ATMs had 1.5 million names and pin numbers stolen out of them. First I've seen of solitaire on an ATM tho

Are we SURE it's not a PhotoShop job?
What bank is this ATM from, anyway?
I don't believe it. Seriously.
I guess it's possible, but it would be so easy to cut and chop and paste and make it look that way.
But, guess it's possible, yes.

Did you see my pic? I think it's pretty good for about 5 minutes of work in Photoshop.

I thought that too, but you can see on the label (on the right of the machine) the HSBC red stripe with triangles taken out of it (the typical HSBC branding). I was thinking it might be one of those self-standing units that accept deposits of cash/cheques/paying in slip this would explain it having a full-fledged Windows installed....? maybe.
Personally I think it's a chop though.
