I recently upgraded to Flash Player 8 and now when I click "More Scores" in the Fox Sports widget, I get a Macromedia Flash Player Security wiindow that says:

"Macromedia Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation.

The following application on your computer or network:
/Users/~/Library/Widgets/FOX Sports.wdgt/fsdashboard.html
is trying to communicate with this internet-enabled location:

msn.foxsports.com

To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings.
You must restart this application after changing your settings."

I click "Settings" and it just closes and the widget crashes. I click "OK" and the same thing happens.

I've tried finding a Flash 7 Player but couldn't. How do I change the settings to trust the widget?
I have no lid upon my head. But if I did, you
could look iniside and see what's on my
mind.

I have Flash Player 8.0 r22 installed and this widget and don't have the issue. Hmm, maybe a Firewall issue? Do you have Little Snitch installed?

Thanks for the response.

No, I don't have Little Snitch installed on this computer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the Flash Player and the widget.

Same here, no firewall and I get this issue over and over.

Ha! That worked. Ya know, I was on that page in my search and thought that control panel was just a screen shot of the cp that was either on a windows computer or should be on my computer somewhere. Then I read "The above is not an image..." I guess I should work on my reading skils.

Thanks. That did the trick.

Out of curiosity, what settings need to be changed exactly?

Global Security Settings.

The quick fix is to set it to Always Allow.

If you are concerned with that, then there appears to be a field where you can add specific websites to the allowable list.
