Ok really trying to sell my powerbook so I can upgrade. Ill let it go for 1100 + whatever shipping is from 44060 i think thats fair. Its standard configuration except for the 1 gig of ram. It will come with misc free software. Adium some html editors stuff like that. Brand new battery from recall still under 1year warranty so Applecare is available for purchase. If u want is private message me or reply here. Pics will be up this evening. Ill even throw in an HP laptop case/bookbag and a mini retractable mouse.

I don't think this is correct? So you're saying that even though the machine is over a year old, and the AppleCare expired, b/c you got a new battery, you think the whole machine is still considered under AppleCare warranty? I'm pretty sure this is wrong

If it's a final revision PB, it's most likely not over a year old. I think you read the OP wrong, or misinterpreted what he said.

Yea sorry forgot some punctuation in there. The battery was recalled and I just put it in, so it is a brand new battery. This computer will be one year old in February. So you can still purchase applecare or just have 3 months left on the original 1 year.

I originally put an extra 1gig of ocz ram in it. This made for 1.5 gigs. But the stick made the powerbook lock up all the time due to them being so pickey. so i pulled it and put in a stick of apple 512 in addition to the original 512 making the computer have 1 gig

Payment was refunded. Hate to say it but this kid is a flake. He has been trying to sell this laptop since November and I pay for it today with Paypal today and then after he gets paid he is not sure he wants to use Paypal. Then tells me he can't ship it right away because he is waiting for his other computer to get here. I told him I need it right away and he asks if I can wait 2 days and I say yes then he refunds the money saying he can't ship it to me in time.

Don't waste your time with this one.

I agree. I wasted a week with this joker then we finally agreed on a price and I was getting ready to pay pal him the money and all of a sudden the price went up because he said "I had to take a lower paying job" and then it was "Pay Pal fees".

This guy is trying to sell both you and me the same laptop. He wanted me to send him a money order this last Saturday. I am not going to send a money order to some stranger. At least with Pay Pal if I use my credit card and got conned I have some protection.

Funny when I mentioned Pay Pal only he started acting flakey. Watch this guy close!

Edit: just as I thought, have a look at this http://forums.macnn.com/59/marketpla...pal-questions/

yea sorry im not comfortable. for the second problem i did quit a job at circuit city makign not even good money for a job at CVS making a lot less because it was closer to home. So i couldnt afford to get the computer i planned on and i couldnt afford to lose out on the rediculous amounts paypal takes. and how is that thread bad? i was scared to get screwed on paypal. and the second offers from bmizar were after you stopped talkign to me. Now bmzar, he sends me the money before i even said ok lets do it. And then he expexts me to ship it the next day? I havent even gotten the new laptop yet so its not exactly possible. Then he said i can do about two days and i refunded because i couldnt get the computer i ended up chosing, in the time frame he needed it by. and ive only been trying to sell for so long because you 2 were the first people to make any contact past what specs does this laptop have. and no need to waste time on this anymore for anyone because due to the costs of school and not makign as much at work I am keeping my powerbook. I just dont like paypal because they would not approve any transactions for seller protection. SO that means I could send my laptop out and all you have to do is cry to credit card company and next thing i know i have no laptop and no money. so there is no protection for me either.

Then you should have said so from the beginning. I was up front that I was intending to use Pay Pal from the very first day, why wait for 5 day's of PM's and Yahoo chat's then back out right when I am getting ready to send the money?
I think what it really is, you stuck your foot in your mouth by going down to $800 and realized you can do better, and you should have just said so instead of double dealing.

Whatever dude, keep your laptop but next time look before you leap, eh.

and i know i cant do better then 800. because thats what they are selling for on ebay and everywhere else. And do you mean double dealing by offering to two people? As I said the second offer came after you stopped talkign to me.

Dude you are so full of crap. I talked to you for 3 days about the whole deal and we finally agreed to use Paypal if we split the portion of the fees and you said ok lets do it. So I sent you the money and then you sent me a PM saying you weren't comfortable about the Paypal deal and just wanted me to send a money order. I asked when you could ship it and said I need it ASAP. You said you can't ship it for awhile because you are waiting on your other laptop to get here. I said just ship the laptop to me tomorrow or just give me my money back. You asked if I could wait at least two days and I said yes that is fine and a few hours later you refunded my money.

I think you are just playing us all.
