does anyone know any French word that is chic or classy for a fashion brand name? would be even better if there is meaning behind it. I am trying to create a collection that is more French like. For both men and women. But I have a problem for having the brand name set. Hope you guys can help. =)

Émergence

This word is the same in the 2 languages (french & english). It means:

The process of coming into being, or of coming important or preominent
The process of coming into view or becoming exposed after being concealed.

But you will have to check if the word Émergence is already a registered trademark.

except that your brand is a fashion brand, and there's no place in France apart from Paris that would convey a sense of anything related to fashion. Any other place would rather evoque something related to food or an historical event that took place there. "Pas de Calais" just makes me think of a place where the weather is almost always awful, with a poor background : closed factories, old warehouses, and coal mines. Think "Detroit" in the US, maybe, for something similar. At least there's some kind of history of textile industry there.

I would say :
Tenue correcte exigée
A la bonne coupe (could work for a butcher shop, too )
Le bon patron (where "patron" here means the paper shape used to cut the fabric pieces before sewing them together. Also means "the good boss")

Yes, the "thread" itself can get a bit annoying though, so I have to listen to it in bits and pieces. Cool concept though.
