this is usually a browser setting. in most browsers a visited link will be coloured differently than a non-visited one.

It's not just browser settings. I got visited links as a different color under UBB, but not in vBulletin. I have IE 5.2.

patience, young one. We misunderstood each other. In web browsers, you can tell it to use a differnt colour for visited links.
However, CaseCom's information makes it clear that the problem is with the new forum software--UBB did it with IE, Mozilla, et al., but vB (or MacNN's adjustments to vB) is in this case the culprit.

Works fine in Omniweb - choose your visited link colour and then check the 'always use these colours - override page settings' box

you're correct. now works in chimera, too, since I checked the 'always use my page and link colors.' cool that.
