That's it ... I can't stand it anymore. My 3rd generation 40G iPod has never worked well. In fact, I returned it to Apple just after I received it, as it clearly wasn't holding anywhere near it's advertised 8h of battery power and had some other quirks (like often skipping the first song of an album) etc. The new one, still never lasted near 8 h, but was better. However, it is now terrible that I can barely get a few hours after fully charging. I don't know if it is draining a lot of battery power when it is off or in sleep ?? Flying from London to Montreal, I could only get 'bout 2 h of music and then it died. Funny thing, the battery icon often still shows power when it dies. Then, by doing a reset you can sometimes get it to play another 20 minutes or so, before it completely dies. Therefore, I am wondering if there is any Canadian equivalent to the US class action law suit for earlier iPods with battery issues ???
