Hello!

Does anyone know if there is a newer version of the Intel Raw Video extension (v1.10.20.02) than the one included with installs of Internet Explorer and Internet Access?

Since ATi's VCR-1 codec is not available for the Mac, ATi recommends saving your movies from your camera (via your PC and All-In-Wonder card) as Planar YVU9. Then Mac users can view it since it is included in the Intel Raw Video codec.

But it doesn't actually work - the playback under quicktime on a Mac shows only a white screen.

Has anyone got any experience with this? The only thing to do is open all the ATi VCR-1 files on the PC and save them as something that a Mac can read. Thats a lot of work so i thought I'd check here in the forum for help first.

Many thanks.

I haven't found a newer version of the Intel Raw Video extension. There isn't one.

ATi recommends saving your movies from your camera (via your PC and All-In-Wonder card) as Planar YVU9. Then Mac users can view it since it is included in the Intel Raw Video codec.

This, in fact, works. It just wasn't implemented properly by the user. (!!!)

So, all the work is saved and theres noone to thank but the original post! hehehehe.

So for anyone trying to move their All-In-Wonder captured VCR-1 files to a Mac, be sure to save them as Planar YVU9 on the PC BEFORE sending the mto the Mac. And then be sure to have the Intel Raw Video extension installed on your Mac - it is installed with Internet explorer 4.x and Internet Access.
