Hi All,

Just got an iPhone 4, running iOS 4.1 (upgraded from a 3G). I'm noticing that ical events entered on the phone aren't sync'ing up to MobileMe (MobileMe down to phone is not a problem).

This was working on my 3G, so I'm wondering what I can do to solve this problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chas

In Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > MobileMe, is "Calendars" switched on?

Otherwise, I'm stumped.

Yeah, it's switched on, which is why this is such a stumper of a problem! (I was hoping there'd be some esoteric setting deep in, oh, I dunno, Compass.app, that was some sort of iPhone 4 iCal secret :-(

Thanks anyway for the suggestion.

Cheers!

Thanks subego, much appreciated. It's a risky proposition, as I have a bunch of entries on my iPhone that are unique to that copy of iCal. I'll have to manually transfer them to my desktop copy of iCal, wait for MobileMe to update, and run the procedure you pointed me to.

Thanks again,

Chas

Ouch. I didn't think of that.

In theory, you could restore from your iPhone backup if things went pear shaped, but I don't know if I'd risk that as the sole option either.

The thing that bugs me: mobileme is supposed to take all the risk away! (it's the only reason I subscribe every year, for the sync capabilities).

Cheers!
