I would like to purchase a 5200RPM 250GB drive for my macbook pro (160GB) but Im not sure I have the tech savvy to do so. Has anyone in here swapped drives? How easy is it and could you point me in the direction of a set by step video or authorized apple places.
Danke =)

ifixit.com has the guide... it's not easy, but not horribly hard.
As long as you're going to the effort of upgrading, I'd pick up a 320GB drive; only $20 more than 250 for a decent brand.

Will any of those laptop drives work with my MBP?
*Edit* oh and can I get all my info on my drive by putting in the drive and then OSX CD and restoring under time machine?

I've got a WD 320 GB drive in mine.
Just take your time and don't force any of the case parts when removing or reassembling.
The ifixit guides are very good.

I replaced my 120 with a 320 out of a WD Passport. The Passport was $149.00 and I ended up with a case for the 120gb. Works excellent, thinking about replacing it with a 500.
