Karaoke was invented in the Philippines, not Korea. The Japanese made it popular in the 70's.

Karaoke was invented by the Taiwanese... no? wait... since the Japanese invaded Taiwan, maybe that's what they had left over on the island.

Taiwan is simply a province of China, so its a Chinese invention.

If it were only as simple as that. While that is the traditional 'goal', they are FAR from that scenario - Especially with the evolution of the Taiwanese government parties in the last two decades or so.

He has had facial surgery to hide the fact.
Its pretty obvious when he comes up with new products that he was born in the province of Jiangsu.

what was it they used to say during the height of the cold war - "the optimists were learning russian and the pessimists were learning chinese"

maybe we need to update that for the current world situation - "the optimists are learning chinese and the pessimists are learning arabic"
