I was reading an article somewhere...I think AppleInsider, that says that there was a change in the Macbook Pro C2D keyboard in terms of a change in the caps lock key....

Is this true? can anyone confirm/deny this?

Thanks

You're probably thinking of this article:

AppleInsider | A closer look at Apple's Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro

It says, "Similarly, internal revisions prevent the keyboard from the new 15-inch model from being used for repairs to the previous model because the caps lock key will fail to function properly."

I interpret that to mean that there's been an internal change related to the wiring or the connection or something. It means that if you try and fit a Rev B. keyboard to a Rev A. machine, the Caps Lock key won't work properly.

In other words, as long as you're not in the business of creating FrankenBooks, the Rev A. and Rev B. keyboards, on their respective machines, are functionally equivalent. There should be no difference in appearance or usage as far as the user is concerned.
