I plan on buying a Mini by the end of this year. However, I have two large displays and the Mini has only one DVI port out. Is there any way with some ??? adapter that I could use 2 displays (one extended)?
Thanks

A mini might be good if you already own a good display.

You could consider getting an iMac and a second display.

as you can see from the photographs, that actually treats both monitors as a SINGLE MONITOR - meaning the menu bar spans both displays, and the Dock is split in the middle (they got around this by resizing the Dock and pinning it to the right.

This also means that watching a movie in full-screen will be spanned over both screens. That is the only way full-screen is possible.

Just a heads-up.

It's a shame Apple doesn't support an dongle to get two (single link) DVI ports. GMA950 supports two displays, and Dell (at least used to) sell a lot of GMA900/950 computers with one dual link port and a dongle so you could use two displays.

I'm more interested in hooking up the Mac Mini to a regular computer monitor and then mirror it to my TV at the same time.

I guess I would have to manually pull out the computer monitor cable and connect the Apple DVI to S-Video adapter? Or is there a simpler switchbox kind of thing?
