The icon set I'm using is SNOW.E 2 from www.rad-e8.com if I remember correctly...

Which icons are you refering to specifically.... Most of them are the iApps with different icons, but I'm also using moodstats and Proteus.

Hope that helps...

All right - how'd you do the applications--and-folders-as-text-labels-on-the-left-side-of-the-screen thing?

Oh... that's the wonderful DragThing. It's a dock with all the items I want showing *just* the names (no icons), setting the transparency to max and hidding DragThing's app from the Dock.

tanhauser, or anyone else:

How are you getting the Terminal & Console to read out on the desktop like that? Or is it some other app giving that data?

And if it is the terminal, what commands are you using to give the IP, CPU usage, Memory usage, etc.....

Thanks for the comments...

Ok, the app showing the console is, indeed, DesktopConsole (which is still being made, and has recently been updated). Search for it on versiontracker.com, it's bound to come up...

Here's the desktop pic I'm using, it's a mod I did so I'm posting the original as well.

Enjoy!!

It's LINKS, a unix text browser which I installed from Fink. If you don't have Fink you can get a pre-compiled version from www.macosxhints.com I believe... it's cool, fast as hell and great way to browser while... um... at work

That's irssi which is not x11. It can be installed via fink. BitchX is very similar and can be installed w/o fink.

Did you make your window transparent or did you just take the time to line up the background pics? If you made it transparent, I'd like to know how you did it.

What's the Desktop Clock?

p.s. You can't make window background's transparent. You just spent time lining up the window with a background.

The clock is called LCD and can be found at http://www.resexcellence.com under the Clock section. I made this one and several others back in 1999, and finally ZenmaiClock has been ported to OS X. You can download the OS X version of the clock player here: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA008...k/index-e.html Just select open in the clockplayer menu and select whatever clock you want.

As to the snapshot, I think everyone knows that the finder cannot be transparent. It just looks nice as a snapshot presented that way.And yes I did line everything up to the exact pixel so it would fool you all.

Absolutely, you can use them in any side of the screen. DragThing has like a million of preferences and options to create the interface you desire with the docks.
