I rented 3 movies and bought 2 pints of Ben & Jerry. I'll wake up tomorrow from my sugar coma, ready to start another week.

Wish me luck.

You need some Vodka

I recommend Smirnoff because it's the one that tastes less bad.

Oh my god I made the mistake to buy "Troika" "distilled in Canada" Vodka.. worst Vodka... ever. I think I puked 3 times.

Don't ever mention this in front of me.. I'll vomit on your face.

Ok, just finished American Splendor. Not bad. Somewhat appropriate, as well. I give it a 7.6.

My takeaway: I am a genuine nerd.

Next up: Lost in Translation, and the Cherry Garcia. Practically had to wrestle a guy at the Blockbuster for the DVD.

Still kinda depressed but it's starting to alleviate.

Lost in Translation will help. For a moment. Then you'll realize you can't be Bill Murray.

But maybe you'll get up and put on some My Bloody Valentine.

The Shawshank Redemption does it for me. Plus it wastes a good 3 hours.

I want a girlfriend. The last one moved to Atlanta. The one before that moved back home to Prague. I'm not quite sure what happened to the one before that. Maybe she got married or something. My tendency to drive women away knows no bounds.

When I get depressed I tend to buy things. Hmm. I think that Autobot tshirt on ebay is pretty cool... Bid! Click.

Seriously, Wolfen go to a coffee shop. Sit in a corner with a cup of... whatever and read a local freebee newspaper, and intermittently observe the hustle of people.

OK...Lost in Translation. Not bad for a "Daddy, please love me" movie.

Sophia Coppola definitely had some autobiographical fantasy going there. But I enjoy seeing the inside of people's heads...as you may imagine from the movie selection thus far. So it wasn't an unpleasant pick although I expected a bit more.

Well for a depression fixer, it's been a good run. I think I've figured out I'm going through a typical midlife crisis.

WELL, we're on to Underworld. I hear it's got action, and a hot babe in leather.

LOL!

We're sitting here reading this thread (spouse and self) and that cracked us up.

See, that reminds us of a date that we had before we were married when we went down to South Beach to a club and to drink in this club you have to buy a bottle of alcohol -- it's very expensive. They charged us $200 for a bottle of Grey Goose. We had about 2 drinks each and then left. We were just saying that we should go down there and ask for the rest of our bottle (IF it's there) and send it to you...

No, I'm sure it's not there...

But I remember that it was great vodka.

True imported vodkas are the best. Keep 'em in the freezer and make white cosmos with 'em.

Ah...the old party and entertaining days...

LONG GONE -- about the time we had kids.

I own two autobot shirts, and I'm not even depressed. I'm just helplessly dorky

Amen! I almost hit the roof when "Sometimes" came on. WTF?!?! Hahahaha....then I looked up the soundtrack and found out Kevin Shields did a lot of it. How cool is that?!

WELL, we're on to Underworld. I hear it's got action, and a hot babe in leather.

More importantly, it has KATE BECKINSALE in leather! Cha-ching!

Excuse the hi-res, but scaling would be a crime.

Kate has always been at the very top of my list. It was a good flick.

I'm not sure I'm happier, but I am hornier.

She was also great as Hero in Much ado about Nothing. Patrick Doyle's score for that film is magnificent as well.

Hey nonny nonny indeedy. Haven't seen her as the gun-totin-terror-in-hotpants in Underworld yet. Need to go rent that one sometime.

<more offtopic than an offtopic thing that doesn't like the topic> How on earth has ghost flash got 600+ posts in less than 9 days?! Dude, what are you doing with yourself??? What you need is a night out at a pub (although, it's that that has got me into the state where I think it's a good idea to write this post... )

BTW, ShortcutToMoncton, great pictures
