MBP's support dual DVI?

So according to apple's website, (i did not realize this till today) but the last and current generation of the MBP can power a 30 inch cinema display? is there some splitter cable that makes it work? could the same cable be used to power 2 20 inchers?

Dual-link DVI is not two DVI ports it's one port so only one cable is needed and Macbook Pros have always had dual-link DVI. Even the newer 15" and 17" Powerbook G4's had dual-link DVI.

No. You cannot split a dual-link DVI port into two single-link DVI ports. "Dual-link DVI" simply provides additional bandwidth for high resolution displays (greater than 1920x1200). It can't be split into two independent DVI channels.
Some nVIdia Quadro cards and Matrox cards for the PC can seemingly do this trick - they have a cable attached to what looks like a regular DVI port which breaks out into two separate ports - but its not really splitting a dual-link DVI port; its simply an internal circuitry trick used by these pro-level cards to fit more than two monitor ports on a standard sized PCI backplane.

It's not just the high end cards; Dell used (and may still use) a similar scheme on their low-end desktops. I think people who have seen this get confused when they see dual-link DVI elsewhere.
