Can I do the update on my parents Mac without erasing what is already on my phone? I only ask this because I had to send my MacBook to apple because of screen flickering and there is no telling how long it will take for me to get it back. Thanks.

I can't get my work iMac to see my iPhone. I normally sync it at home.

I'm downloading an installing (162mb) 1.1.3 now. I'll tell you if it wiped out my iPhone or not shortly.

Downloading right now too. Got out of class and there it was! Great timing! I watched the video on the update already while it's downloading, I like the move icons feature, it looks so cool!

Just installed the update and it didn't do anything to the music, photos, etc that was installed on my iPhone.
Obviously mine isn't jailbroken anymore, but in my opinion, the Google Map locator thing is worth it.

I haven't updated my iPhone yet but I've upgraded iTunes to 7.6 and QT to 7.4.

One thing has changed, at least I think it has:
You can now manually manage music and videos.

This is without the iPhone 1.1.3 update so it must have been an iTunes issue.

no problems with my update here! great new functionality, although...WHERE IS COPY PASTE?!

its good to hear you can now manually manage songs and video...that was something that really irked me before

the only thing I dont like about the update is the dots on the home screen to indicate which page you're on I know I could just use one page but I think it would be nice if the dots disappeared until you swiped to go to another page. not a big deal really

to OP: I don't know cuz I haven't tried it yet. It might not be too bad since I could sync to my work computer and restore if it doesn't work and let you know. Only problem is I don't know if I will be able to get it done tonight...how soon do you need an answer? If the original question was answered and I missed it I apologize.

Ok... It worked. I updated my iPhone on my parent's iMac. It didn't even ask me about syncing it just recognized it as "Tommy's iPhone" and showed up like it normally would on my MacBook. I did the update and that was that. So I am pleased...

FWIW, it also worked on my work laptop w/o killing anything and i was able to charge on our macbook overnight w/o a problem (just in case someone else has problems).
