They just haven't updated the pricing yet (it's for all the old laptop models). The iBook 800 is now quite reasonably-priced, trust me.

This seems to be the "better one" of all the long lost iBook picture threads in this forum. It's also about that time that people will begin to post pictures of their new G4 iBooks. So post away, and lets see if we can keep this thread alive again. Or you can go * here * to get an idea of how you stack up.

I spend way too much time looking at other people's set-ups. I guess it is my turn to contribute to someone else's time sink!

Enjoy.

I need to take a picture of mine. It's not any where near as impressive but my iBook gets around. In the week of owning it, I have used it at the laundry, the social security office, the BMV, school, home, in my car, at work (where I sell Windows based PCs but I am primarily their digicam(era/corder) expert), in bed, on the couch, on the patio, in the kitchen while cooking, in the dining room. I love this thing!

Very nice, indeed! If I had a PowerMac I would have chosen an iBook too. My PB will have to serve as both my laptop and desktop machine for the forseeable future; which is why I chose the PB over an iBook.

here is a link to a web site that will let you host your pic. After you host it it gives you three different file types just copy the img file and then paste it into your response.

For a $40-$35 rebate= $5 camera it's not too shaby, right?

Let's start showing off some iBooks people. Only three pages? I mean the iMac is alot more boring when it comes to setups when compared to iBooks and they got way more than 3 pages. So let's break out those cameras and post some pics. If you have no where to host your images try http://www.imageshack.us/index.php or http://tinypic.com/ and read the little how to on posting images in the reply help box if you still dont know, so now you have no excuse for not posting.

I am trying to make a similar decision now. I have a Dual 2 Ghz PowerMac G5. I'm trying to decide which laptop to get, iBook or PowerBook. I'm leaning toward the iBook simply due to price and the fact that my PowerMac will remain my primary machine for the foreseeable future. :-)

But .... I'm still on the fence. I have no immediate need. My 2002 Dell I8200 is currently surving me well.

Here's mine:

12" iBook G4 1.07Ghz
Gateway VX700 monitor (running 1280x960 @ 85hz)
LG dual-layer DVD burner (firewire)
iCurve (best thing ever!)
iPod (4G)
SE T610 mobile

random tv, vcr bits.

All runs through my Sony micro system, which actually sounds quite good for such a cheap crappy thing.
