I just got a brand new lacie drive, for some reason the drive decides to "run around" every 60 seconds or so, doing this for 20 seconds, then it stops. Is it indexing? Is there something wrong with the drive?

Curious.

My guess is that Spotlight is indexing but this should only take 20-30 minutes. Maybe using the computer is interrupting the indexing. I'd let it sit for a while and see if it stops.
