hey guys. i've read it once, and i forgot where i read it (on the forums, mac magazines, etc) and i've tried googling for it and searching the forums.
this "widget" (it was called something else, but not a widget) was an add-on by a third party for Mac Mail. whenever new email arrives, it pops up a message on the screen, even if you're in another program, and it tells you who sent it, the subject line, and the first couple words of the email.
this feature is in Microsoft Outlook on the PC side.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
