I downloaded it this morning, and have not noticed a problem as of yet.

I installed it yesterday and don't really have any new problems. My Mac Pro will sometimes spool the fans up to full speed (2800rpm) after it wakes up from sleep and then they'll spool down slowly over the next minute or so. It does not do it all the time, but it's still doing it with the new SMC update.

The Mac Pro has always revved up the fans real fast when waking out of sleep, or turning on. But the fans go back down to 500rpm shortly.

The update has caused no problems for me. Nothing feels different.

I have noticed the fans are now minutely louder. Most people won't have a problem with it but its bothering me. Not sure if I can revert to previous firmware.

No problems on my box and it's been rather warm lately here...

Agreed, I have the same issue. Prior to the update, you could barely tell the computer was on, and now I'm very aware of the marginally louder fan noise. Still much quieter than the average PC, but I still wish I hadn't updated.
