Nikon Rumors show a retro-styled body pairing leather-textured black surfaces with silver or blackened metal and a slew of manual knobs and controls, while an FX badge corroborates earlier leaks pointing to a full-frame 16.2-megapixel sensor tucked inside.
The camera is expected to offer a pentaprism viewfinder, rather than switching to a mirrorless design, with a standard F-mount for compatibility with existing lenses. Other rumored specs include an ISO range of 100-12,800 and an Expeed 3 image processor, though the camera is believed to omit video-recording features.
The body is said to carry a retail price of $3000, or $3300 when paired with a special-edition Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens. The unveiling its expected on November 5, though a ship date remains unclear.
