I am about to purchase a SATA Western Digital Caviar SE16 250gb to double my internal storage. Its a 7200rpm drive.
My question is, instead of buying a drive that is probably identical to what's in there now - should I consider an even faster drive, and installing it as the boot drive to increase system performance. Is there a gain to be had above 7200rpm? (i'm not worried about doing a format/reinstall).
Thanks !
p.s. Its a 2.7 Dualie and its got 3.5gb of ram.
