Hi.

Is the "applications ( MAC OS 9.1 )" folder preserved for default - installed appliactions or is this the folder where i`m supposed to put "all" my applications? Are there any performance/stability gains in putting my apps. into this folder?

I believe this is just to easy the transition between OS 9 and OS X. This is the way that OS X is set up. You can arrange it however you want.
