So I've set myself the task of learning French, something I've wanted to do for a while.

I'm steadily making my way through lessons on Duolingo and can now say phrases such as

Je Mange

Je suis en riche homme

La fille a une robe rouge

Le garcon calme est mange un pizza enfant et ananas. <-- Yes I did write this correctly

That being said.....

About 20 some odd years ago when I was a kid at summer camp, two of my bunk mates where from Quebec and had a magazine similar to MAD magazine, obviously all in French. I remember I started to pick up what was being said by looking at the illustrations and found it hilarious. I thought if I could get a couple copies of this magazine it might be a good way to add to my lessons.

Might anyone here know the name of the Magazine?

It does sound like a useful way to pick up a language. However, don't trust comics as a spelling guide.

I did that as a kid once. It washed me out of a spelling bee, and turned me off on comic books ever since.

I bet it's great for slang, though.

When we were in Montreal we stopped by a nice gaming store and picked up some Magic cards that were in French for the older kid. Nice guy in the store even threw some in free.

Le coup de sang, was a good card.
