Calling and messaging app Viber today has announced an update for its iPhone app, featuring a redesign for iOS 7. Viber facilitates free world-wide calling and messaging over a Wi-Fi or 3G connections to other Viber users, with calls made to non-Viber landlines and mobile numbers possible at low rates. Viber v4.2.0 features a revised aesthetic to compliment iOS 7, and the added ability to send up to 10 photos and videos at one time, to reduce redundancy in file transfer. Users can now send longer video messages, and contacts can see when a user is typing a message to them from an Android tablet, Linux, Mac, PC, or Windows 8 device. Viber is free to download through iTunes for devices running iOS 6.0 or later.

STM introduces Annex collection

Tech accessories company STM has announced its new commuting and travel focused collection of laptop and tablet bags. The Annex series features the Drifter pack and Trust, Link and Sequel shoulder bags, with each available in olive, graphite and red shades. The Drifter pack is comprised of three zippered front panel pockets, accommodating a 15-inch laptop as well as a tablet and phone, alongside space for storing gym gear, lunch, and other items one may carry with them on a daily outing. The Trust is a laptop messenger bag available in small or medium sizes that offers protective space for a 15-inch laptop and an organization slip pocket for paperwork and an extra battery; it features a water-resistant exterior and lightweight aluminum zipper pulls with large, #10 self-repairing YKK zippers.

The Sequel - also available in small and medium versions - is aimed at those who want a messenger bag for little else than their laptop, featuring one main compartment and small additional front pockets for organization of small items. Lastly, the Link shoulder bag is designed to carry most 10-inch tablets, as well as incorporating various organizational pockets. Equipped with a magnetic closure drop pocket for easy access to small items, its shoulder strap offers quick adjustment for cross body and shoulder carrying accommodations. The Annex collection is available now through STM's online partner.
