I've heard talks of Adium being turned into the official Mac Gaim. (Basically, it'd gains about a bajillion services at once, and kicks Proteus' ass.)
Gaim is currently seperating it's protocol code, which Adium is planning on using anyway. Whatever happens, Adium 2 is going to kick ass

Native as in Aqua I believe. The fink version was mentioned by name on the Screensavers, then the Native version was mentioned as forthcoming.

bah ive really gone off adium2 since he switched it to stupid metal, it looks so stupid on my desktop now, eps with the middle trans, also there isnt enough colour options for the gradients and the user names in convos
