My machine is a 9600 PowerMac with a Sonnet Crescendo PCI G4 800 Mhz processor and 1.5 Gig Ram, 40 Gig HD - IBM ata.
OS 9.2.2

I installed VPC 5.0.4 and tried to launch, but it simply freezes my machine and the only way out is a re-boot. Same with 6.0 and 6.0.1

True, it's not a straight forward 9.2.2 but an "Old World" OS 9.2.2 made possible with "OS9Helper"

But, this same machine WAS running these 2 versions of VPC quite well except with a different processor - a XLR8 Carrier G3 500 Mhz.

any ideas / comments welcome
