How do I 'turn off' acrobat so that it does not automatically open whenever I download and pdf file. Sometimes I prefer Preview to open it.. I can't find any item in acrobat prefs under options?? Any ideas?

On the pulldown menu select "Open with application..." and choose Preview. Now hit the "Change all..." button. All your .pdf files will open with Preview.
