Hello, Dave-O has been buggin me to post about this. I designed the RYB theme a year ago and started some of the resource work, but don't have the time to complete it. If anyone out there wants to complete it, PM me and I can send you the PSD file and the GuiKit file that I started.

Dude, I dunno about the RYB window widgets, but the rest of the theme ROCKS! I'll see if I can find someone who would be interested.

That's awesome looking aside from the window widgets which are a bit too flashy. Someone really should make this theme.

the widgets make the theme.

the diagonal lines, however, seem trendy (in a negative sense).

also, i think it'd be nicer if the blue bits in the theme were borderless and extended to the edges to match the widgets. on the other hand, it might be too overbearing. just something to try.

I think it would be fine without red and yellow... only place I see them is on the widgets anyway. The theme looks really great otherwise.

I'd complete it, but I probably wouldn't be able to do much until I'm finished or very close to finished with my theme. If you can't find anyone else who can do it sooner, then you are welcome contact me at [email protected]. Very nice work... kinda reminds me of a shinier version of watercolor.

Thanks guys, wibs has offered to finish this sucker off. Since I'm using the ProLCD theme that he helped develop, I thought he'd be a perfect match. I don't have a timeline for you guys, but hopefully it won't take as long as me!

I like the theme and maybe wibs can make the colours "blue" and an uncoloured "graphite" version. For me though, i stick with how you designed it, like the progress bars

This is exactly what the OSX themeing community and users need- something different than all the Aqua-variants. Love those square widgets/titlebarbuttons

I love it too!!!

The only thing, if it was me, I'd have it a little less glossy and lil' bit flatter...

Looking forward to it

That widget... I suppose that you have chosen to draw it blue instead of the expected green.

No, actually they were inspired by the printing primary colors.

Hey wag,
I love it, but I'm wondering if there are any plans of updating your orange theme as well?

Tell me about it. Smeger would love it if I did. I toyed with redesigning the entire theme, but decided not to. I suppose I should update it sooner or later.

Or RGB?

Red, yellow, and blue are just the primary colors. I don't actually think they're used in printing.

OK, I did start updating it yesterday. Once I get the basics redesigned, I'll release it...then I'll work on some of the little used elements.

the menubar looks like the "border print" stuff around a printout off a press. you know, the thing that has the crop lines and stuff. i know it has a name, its eluding me right now.

wagmedia, that theme looks really good. The colors are perfect and it has a nice clean look to it. Dont change anything! I cant wait to see this one done and use it.
Are you thinking about some icons for it down the road if you get time and someone does this theme? I hope so.

I think you really nailed it as far as a look inspired by graphic art. As far as CMYK and RBG colors go, I use RBG for certain printers who print on large format inkjet and giclee prints. So, your right on with the colors I think.
I have forgotten more than I've known

heya fonzie,

the theme actually has a ways to go, as it is there are a lot more aqua than ryb elements. I really doubt you'd want to use it at this stage.

and who says i want the limelight? i just want something to do in my free time, heh.

Man, I have 48hours of free time each day and I can't do a simple goddamn thing with themes. I envy you.

At that rate, you'll be 80 years old when you hit 40! Seriously though, why can't you do anything? It's all about learning the tools, and ThemePark really isn't that complicated.

Hmm, you're right about the age thingie. Must find a workaround with that

I used to theme on WindowsXP using StyleBuilder, I found it somewhat easy at the time. I guess it's all a matter of sitting down and figuring out the tools. I looked at ThemePark and found it totally crowded with all the masks and stuff. I somewhat understand masks because they are used under Amiga too(VisualPrefs) but right now it seems overwhelming to me.

If I were to theme I would try porting a few themes first. Like AikonXP from juzmental in the variant I made a while back.

I really shouldn't complain but I am mentally ill - although not severe but have tendencies towards skizofrenia(sp?) So I have been retired from the workforce for at least 5 years.

sorry about hijacking this thread guys.

On another note, SlickOrange is almost done being updated for Panther (finally). Smeger is doing a little beta-testing for me, then I'll release it soon. The only thing that won't be done are the "mini" widgets. Since they're not used that much I figured I'd just release it and worry about those another day.
