Thanks
That would be tinkertool .

A couple of questions.
1. What is the calendar program that is transparent in the top right part of the screen.
2. What is the program that shows the temperature with the pretty little icon in the lower left part of the screen.
Thanks!

The Calender is a widget. It's called 'calendar'. There's also a to do list just underneath, also a widget.

I updated information on first screenshot, so it should reflect now what I was doing.
I found Milla Jovovich on desktopgirls.com I believe. Not positive about that. So, I am going to post her Here!

In the words of Swiz:

hehe
In the words of kjb:
Carbon,
Can you explain the steps for the DragThing setup??
heh, this may be tough...
1. to make it work perfectly you'll need to be a registered user (to enable some features, specifically dock floating)
2. this setup uses four custom DT docks,
-- a blank one that streches horizontally across the screen to act as a background fill for the taskbar
-- the DT 'process dock' which provides the "tasks," this serves as the application switcher.
-- another dock to create a "quicklaunch" feature, basically just a small dock w/ icons of your most used apps to quickly launch them w/ one click.
-- the last dock (System), which serves as a "Start" button if you will... when clicked this dock expands to a menu of any size you set it to and you can stuff whatever you want in it. (select "minimize when in background" in this dock's preferences so that the "System" menu collapses into a button after you select something from the menu).

Whoever did that theme is doing us a GREAT injustice by not distributing it... that kicks MAJOR booty.
PLEASE give credit where it's due and distribute that... that's sooo sweet.

MacGuru, I haven't (and won't) bother seeking permission to redistribute it because it's entirely based on Swiz's SSChosenOS theme, with QuicksilveR and Smoothstripes mixed in. There's really no justification in redistributing a 95% ChosenOS theme IMO.
However, it would not be very difficult for someone to remake it quickly for themselves:
-- I took the titlebars from QuicksilveR ( http://www.lostboi.com/ ) and the menus. However, I based the Apple Menubar on the QS titlebar gradient rather than the Menubar QS comes with.
-- I took the foreground/active Minimize widget from Max's SmoothStripes (embedded version) and made widgets to resemble those of Quicksilver but have the wicked-cool embedded look. Basically, if you take the widget from SmoothStripes and do a 100% desaturation on it, and then give it a +45 brightness and +5 contrast you can get a nice match. Then go through and do all of the various widget states and pixel in the x - + symbols. If you simply do the 100%/+45/+5 on all of the SmoothStripes widgets you will come up with different shades of gray/silver widgets... very inconsistent.
Hope this helps for any interested... and please don't hate me.

Link to my desktop:
Sage's current desktop
- SmoothStripes theme
- iFix2 installed
- Dreamweaver and Fireworks have new icons courtesy of Macalicious
- ClearDock (obviously)
- The icon that looks like TigerLaunch is actually Snard (I extracted the TigerLaunch icon and then put it as Snard's icon, since it fits in well with the "Jaguar" theme)

Well, unfortunately, it's from the 928 Cargallery website, which has been down for almost 2 weeks now. I have no clue what happened to the site (between late March and April 1st, there was a message on the site that it would be revamped and be back by April 2nd, but on April 2nd, it disappeared, leaving that error message).
So sad too, since it was such a great site to get car desktops from!

New to the forums, but here's my screenshot with a work-in-progress theme.... Think I'm going to take it back to the aqua window widgets again though.

Ok, I recognize one theme in that shot. It's mine. Well, unreleased, unfinished. Are you the one I sent it to? I don't remember. But how do you have two different Themes in that shot? Unless you just switched and didn't log out yet.
