So far so good, just wish you'd kill Aqua all together for this theme. The dark metal is really nice.

how come those close/minimize/zoom widgets have that little white thing at the bottom? makes 'em look rather ugly.

is this a preemptive longhorn port? im totally confused, unless you just want to show off your finder buttons and the gradient. i dont see whats so "done" about this. unless there is a whole lot more to this that you can show because ss isnt updated.

Hey, I really like your new sig!
About the theme,
the metal window (texture and color) is really nice.
I also dig the toolbar buttons.
I agree with others about the widgets, they should be more sunken IMHO.
But overall, I'm really looking forward to this one

Regarding the GarageBand theme.
I already stated that I am not trying to create a new theme, I am merely bringing the GarageBand look to the system. GarageBand uses these titlebar widgets, and yes, they do look that bad in GarageBand too. All of the Aqua elements are from Max's Aqua Extreme theme. But I am only using the true Aqua elements in this first release as this is supposed to be exactly Aqua with the GarageBand nuances.

Subsequent varaitions, only one or two, will improve upon things such as the nasty white areas under the titlebar widgets and other inconsistencies. I would like to create one which uses Max's sunken blue titlebar widgets too, that is the one I would focus mostly on making a really cohesive tightened up package.

But again, this preview is merely the original which is only ment to mimic GB, not improve upon it.

When you use it with GB you will find it does exactly that, of course in this screenshot you cant see the push buttons and popup buttons which helps.

i got bored tonight. been loving TiBook, but the airport and the battery menu extras really annoyed me with their white backgrounds. changed that. and i missed my already modded titanium 7 menus, so i added those too. then finally, i made an ollies tab botton for safari. (windowshadeX transparency is why it looks funny)

would you believe that i have a huge paper due in the morning that i still havent really started?

you click, it gets bigger. wild, i know.

i guess i must be the only one who likes apples sunken widgets better.

this isn't directed at you swiz because i know you know...but for others the

white-ish area below is the reflection of light off the recessed area which

the button sits in.

i know!..you all knew that but i had to convince myself that you did.

p.s. wheres the wood?

The folder icon and drive icon are by Hein Meivesson of Mix the Pix, he gave me permssion to include them with SimpleX a LONGGGGGG time ago, and I am finally going to. We were going to do a theme together at one point but we both go busy and it kind of faded off.

He wasnt that happy with these icons but they go perfectly with SimpleX.

I cant seem to find any really cool office icons (word, excel, ect). I've checked xicons, resex, and iconfactory and just didn't see much of anything. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I really like Smoothicons 8 icon set's Office icons. They are a very muted color, much better than the odd, faux Aquaish ones that MS seems to love for their Mac OS X apps (dont get me started on Windows Media Player). If those arent your thing, Hein Mevissen used to have a cool Office icon set which basically has the Office bubbles in different colors. Other than those... I dont know

Download a daily binary, then ctrl click and get info on it. Go to plugins, and uncheck "Standard Message View" if you had it checked. This will enable webkit.

To edit the webkit themes, you need to ctrl click on adium, then show package contents, and then go to

Contents/Plugins

once you have done that, ctrl click on Webkit Message View.AdiumPlugin, and show package contents. Go to

Contents/Resources/

And the files are all there.

There will be an easier way to modify this sooner or later.
