If you pres command up-arrow keys a couple of times Simple Finder grants access to all applications.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Cute. I wonder how that one slipped through QA. Seems like a pretty obvious thing to test for...

The Simple Finder is full of bugs. I have submitted five or six pretty bad one's to Apple already before this.

It's easy to save files in places you can't access, except through open/save dialogs, trashing files is close to impossible, the application set can get corrupted when administrated...

Stay away from it for now

We need At Ease back - completely different app, dedicated to providing a simple interface to use a few apps. Simple Finder was originally (way back in what, OS 8?) designed to provide very At Ease like capabilities. In general, Simple Finder never worked quite as well as a separate dedicated app did.

Very nice indeed. I am glad I am the only one who uses my Mac.
