i have been a powerbook user since the 2400c. am now using a 12" revC alubook.
i want to get an external monitor (my first),
thinking 19" lcd, dvi, no speakers, widescreen (maybe?). preferably under $250.
may want to mount it on an external arm later (so i can have it above my 12" screen).
recommendations?
thanx!

I got the Samsung 940bw (the widescreen one) and am happy with it. It has the same resolution as my MBP 15" so I dont see a lot of difference. Use it mainly with my windows box.

I was thinking about getting the 19" widescreen Westinghouse display for sale at Best Buy. It's cheap, looks nice, and the enclosure kinda matches the PowerBook. I'd prolly scrape off the Westinghouse logo eventually tho, lol.

on the website, the widescreen is $300...and sold out (the other westinghouse's are expensive too).
i'm prob gonna go with the viewsonic; have been researching like mad, and seems the best overall (in my price range etc)

I just picked up a Benq FP202W.. 20" wide..1680x1050
I love the display... it feel like I have a new computer....awesome... controls are somewhat annoying but aesthetically the monitor look great, simple black bezel one logo, and one led on the front...
