Does anyone know of a way to lock the Date & Time Control Panel? We have a case of someone constantly changing the time on a computer on OS 9.2 to override a time-based security feature, and need to put it to a stop.

How clever is this user? The easiest way is disabling the control panel, or renaming and changing it's icon. If that doesn't work, check out the multiple users control panel. I'm not running OS 9 right now, but you might be able to change that user's account (if they have one) to block access to control panels.

The user is fairly savvy, but just a kid (and we all know how they can be... ). We aren't using the Multiple Users feature, but I will see what I can do about it.

Not sure if this will work or not, but you could try locking the Date and Time preference file.

Just delete the control panel. When you need to administer the date or time you can reinstall it.

If it's your kid, a good whack on the bottom might help deter undesirable behaviour.
