Yeah, I can't believe it has been so long since I eagerly transitioned from OS9, ouch, to X, and acquired a stability, reliability and generally wonderful computer experience, better than anything from OS-6 to 9! Your snotty younger bro, Windows yeah right..!! So, OS X I love you and a very happy birthday, Jan

I've been on it since Rhapsody DR 2... went with OS X as my primary OS at 10.1... and erased OS 9 around 10.3.

What a crazy time...

Finder does need work, and hopefully Leopard will address those issues.

According to this rumor, it’s now called Dharma and is currently in the works.

I hope it’s true because it sounds awesome. Time will tell.

I doubt it. Doesn't seem to make much economical sense. Plus he said it was going to be announced two months ago.

Can of worms... and you do not want to open it. If you don't know what needs fixing, then there isn't anything that needs fixing for you. In the absence of commenting on UI flaws, the problems people are likely to experience most with it in day-to-day use will occur when networking.

Going to jump here.

Ditch the brushed metal madness and use Aqua again or the new iLife unified-ish look at least (latter seems more likely).

Improve network reliability, FTP access (ie read-write access when available).

Bring back all the search options available before 10.4, for example negative search as "Kind is NOT folder". Apple in its infinite wisdom decided that adding the marvelous Spotlight technology would require capping features. Basically, Finder search is worse in 10.4 than 10.3, despite Spotlight being faster, it can not narrow searches as good as pre-Tiger.

Those are the three that come to my mind right now.
