cool!. What did you do to your poor dock! I luvs me those horizontal stripes. !!! *MWG*
You can just use the finder prefs to put driveys on your desktop, ugh, unless you have too many (drives, taht is.)
I luvs your terminal, but you can change your 'Welcome to Darwin' thing by editing the /etc/motd ... baby...

Wow, 14 pages. I haven't checked it in a while and it's spanned 3 pages since then.
I'd post my desktop, but it's no different than the other ones I've posted. Maybe if I do something cool, which I haven't done yet.

Here's my very first OS X Desktop...
[url]http://homepage.mac.com/cpatubo/PhotoAlbum.html[\url]
The two fish are what I keep in my saltwater aquarium at home (got the icons from xicons), the water desktop from [url=http://www.macdesktops.com]macdesktops[url].
Apps shown: DesktopCalendar and AIM.
Still getting the hang of this OS...

Here's my updated (post-system re-install) OS X desktop shot. I am making my own desktop pics now, but I have a few from MacDesktops that I like as well.

Just wondering...I have an iMac so my resolution is capped at 1024 * 768 and everything looks very small at that resolution so I run at 800 * 600 most of the times, but when I look at these images that are like 1024 * 768 and greater, the text and everything seems to be a perfect size. Why?
edit: Forgot to mention that text on an iBook running at 1024 * 768 looks better than text on my iMac at 1024 *768.

Wow, I have only made a few icons. Some at Xicons and a few distributed in the forums, but its nice to see them in a few peoples screen shots :-) I especially like the Trojan Condom package icon in someones screen shot. LOL, I always thought it would be a kewl one. Oh yeah, One day I will get around to posting my screen, its just really boring now.

What you are seeing is that the text for the menubar is rendered at the same size, no matter what the resolution... so, my iBook, at 800x600, renders the File menu the same way a G4 running at 1024x768 and higher. So, when you view the pict, it looks the correct size for the machine you are looking at it with. You just have to scroll around to see the whole picture.

Another screenshot. This time featuring StarfleetX's Iridium theme. I hope that when OSX is finalized this theme can still be hacked.

Nothing special, just more of an attempt at getting the last pages of this thread to load. For some reason they weren't. First screen shot for me though, better late than never I suppose.
I'm running the first iteration of starfleet's theme.

So, when you did the web site, did you just throw some code into the editor and scrape your mouse through it ? I mean, it would have been a fitting way to design a web site for this 'art'.

You made a screen dump from Windows your desktop picture? That deserves comment of some sort, but I'm speechless. Rock on, Gato!

I would upload it to MacDesktops.com if it was a desktop picture I made! I got the picture from this guy who posted a link to it in the macintosh mailing list. I'll be happy to email it to you if you supply the email address....
by the way, it also comes with a blue tint.....which i think looks a lot better....

Hey, if you guys make this thread longer than Word Association (1200 posts ... around 25 pages I think), we'll do something special

What, like create a new forum devoted solely to screenshots? I think its doable, and to inaugurate such a goal, here's my screenshot: http://homepage.mac.com/krove/.Pictu...06.20.2001.jpg . And for gorg, he can check my ip and get a live shot via SnapperHead (i.e. http://0.0.0.0:1500/ where 0.0.0.0 is my ip ). I'm afraid of the number of hits I'd get as I only have a 128kb/sec upload speed on cable, so I'll give him the special privilege.

I hate to say it, because I liked this thread too, but after a while, all the shots start to seem alike. I posted several shots of my screen. Would you like to see another? I didn't think so.

I haven't yet added to this thread, so here's mine!
It's basically 10.0.4 with the standard desktop running iTunes, QT player, MacBlox, wStock, IE and some other stuff which is hidden.
