I'm trying to zip, rar, etc a folder/file. Everything seems to go through to motions, with finder or simplyrar, but the file size ends up around 2mb, and the files within dont work. Any clues as to what's going on? I recently installed iLive 09, and just restarted w/ the updates, but that didn't help.

I don't know why this would be failing. Try creating a different user and seeing if archive creation still fails.

Ok, so compressing works in my Administrator account, but not in my normal daily use account.

after more testing, I cannot compress .avi files, I have tried .ppt, .mp3, .dmg, and those all work fine for some reason.
