I had my Network Admin key in a WiFi password for my work network. Is there any way to decode the password and see what was entered?

I've tried the Keychain app, but when I unlock the encryption, it only shows me part of the password. I happen to know there are symbols at the end of the password, but they don't show when I use Keychain.

I wanted to restore my iPhone and upgrade to 1.1.3, but I'll lose my WiFi access if I do.

Thanks in advance!

It may be simpler to reset your wifi point's password. What model do you have?

It's not my network. It's my work's network. I can't reset the password. I would have to wait until the Network Admin made time to re-enter the password.

Just check with your IT people. There may be some policy about not allowing devices like iPhones on the network. Why? Suits are paranoid (and rightly so) that some employee will do something bad, either intentionally or unintentionally. So even if you could figure out that password, you might get in trouble if you connected without permission. In this case, it is NOT easier to ask forgiveness later; you could be asking this in your exit interview...
