I have installed 9.0.4 successfully onto my Imac DV recently and my modem fails to initialise. It doesnt even detect the dial tone at all. I have checked the phone lines at home and they all appeared normal.
Any suggestion from anyone who has similar problems? [email protected]

just check the iMac modem driver in the modem configuration control pannel.
If it does not include the driver for your modem, try to instgall it from the 9.00 CD (personilized installation, just the modem script for your DV iMac sellected)

Check your "Sound" Control Panel.
Look under Inputs... "Settings for selected devive"area.
In the Input Source down choose the Internal Modem. See if the "Play sound through ouput device" is checked. I it's uncheck your not going to heard the dialtone.
