How does one replace 9.0.4 with 9.0. Will it actually go back to the way it was prior to installing 9.0.4?
Simple directions would help....
Thanks

one way to do it is to remove the "powerpc enabler 9.04" from the system folder, sending you into OS 9.0, but other extensions and things are still updated. The other way is to clean install OS 9.0...

The easiest way to do this is to remove PowerPC Enabler 9.0.4. This is not the best way to do it, however. Other components of Mac OS 9.0.4 will remain.
The proper way to do this is to do a clean install of Mac OS 9.
And yes, it will go back to the way it was prior to installing 9.0.4.

Thanks for the tips.... I guess doing a clean install keeps my old system folder accessible, for moving over the old extensions, control panels etc.... I would just copy these back into the new folder right?
