I just order some stuff from apple.com. And I was wondering, since the order has alredy been placed, with my Apple Loan...if I can go pick the items up at an actual Apple Store. Since they only offered standard shipping...I'm worried that some of the items may not make it in time for Christmas.

Any input would be appreciated...

Why don't you try calling the Apple Store nearest you and hear what they have to say?

I'm unclear as to what Apple's policy is on this.

anaphora68 is right... Check with an Apple Store... It doesn't hurt.

Well, actually, corporate and retail may be seperate but I am almost certain they have a linked product database. It just depends on company possible. They might let you pick an order up in a store, they might now. That's something you'd have to ask. I know places like circuit city let you pick up in store, provided that store has stock.

Apple's store site says nothing to that effect to confrim or deny it, so call for clarification.

Well...looks like I don't have to worry about it anyway. I ordered on Saturday (12/13/03)...and on Monday (12/15/03) I got info that the items had all shipped. One was even a Customized iPod (engraved). And they ETA on them is tomorrow!

Wow! Talk about fast!

Thanks for the input guys...

If your order isn't shipping yet, then you can just call up the apple store and have them change your order. Then you can pick and choose what you want to buy at the Apple store, and what you want to buy online. Up until, your order is actually shipping, you can change/cancel your order at any time.

The only exception is if you customized any hardware (ie powerbook, powermac, imac, emac, ibook with more RAM, different hard drive, etc). There is no changing that, but you can change anything else. I did this so that I could get a laptop before Christams (changed 15" PB to 17" PB).
